Migraine Prediction Using the Weather
Published: January 19, 2026
I built a small web app that uses hourly atmospheric pressure forecasts to flag pressure drops that are likely to trigger migraines.
tl;dr: Try out my migraine predictor.
Problem & Goal
I get frequent migraines and noticed they occur around storms and heavy rain. Research shows that rapid changes in the atmospheric pressure are a common migraine trigger. This project tests to see if I can predict migraine risk based on local weather information.

Cut Yourself Some Slack on Design
Published: January 17, 2026
I’ve been wanting to start a blog for a while now. Not knowing what to write about has never been the real blocker. The design of the site is what has been holding me back. Today, I’ve decided that will no longer be the case. If you’re a developer like me who struggles with design, tune in, this is for us.
I created my first real post several months back and I was so focused on making the site look good, I rushed and created a mess of my layouts. It looked ok but it was not maintainable. I kept thinking of how it would be painful to refine the site as it grew. I didn’t take the time to read up on how Hugo really works.

It’s Time for a Privacy Checkup
Published: January 15, 2026
There’s a lot happening in the world right now, but in the United States in particular, concerns about personal privacy are escalating. Recent reporting has highlighted how Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has leveraged surveillance tools created by Palantir to track those residing in the US. These tools, most notably ImmigrationOS, allows ICE to track individuals , run photos of people through databases to determine citizenship status and aggregate data on residents from multiple data sources.

Regex is Pretty Neat
Published: September 21, 2025
Have you ever been handed a massive file with zero feedback on why it is failing validation? Yeah, that was me last week.
The file had tens of thousands of lines in it and it was nearly impossible to scroll through it by hand and find the problem.
The Problem
The file in question is a fixed width file where certain data must be in certain places, for example, you can think of formatting a piece of customer data like 9 digit SSN + YYYYMMDD date of birth + last name, (up to 20 spaces), first name (up to 20 spaces), middle name (up to 20 spaces), customer number (up to 20 spaces), then N/E for new or existing customer identifier.
